Summer is here, for all intents and purposes. Our community pool, like many in the area, opened Memorial Day weekend. Already I've noticed a huge increase in pedestrian traffic, especially near the pool. A Salute to Tradition

Commencement Week is here. Our Naval Academy midshipmen will be commissioned Friday morning and head off to begin their Navy and Marine Corps careers. Just an Ordinary Day

I think today was one of the most typically military days I've had in a long time, one that showcases just what military life is really like. Time's running out for spring youth sports signups at Fort Meade, Aberdeen Proving Ground and NSA Annapolis. Fort Meade is accepting youth sports registrations until February 27. On Cheerfulness

Like any Marylander who monitors weather forecasts, I spent part of Sunday stocking up on critical items - bread, milk and so on - in preparation for the coming storm.
