WYE MILLS – Chesapeake College’s 17th Annual Golf Tournament has openings for teams to play in the October 6th event at Hunters Oak Golf Club.

There is a $600 charge for four-person teams to play in the 18-hole, shot-gun start event. That charge, which includes a minimum tee sponsorship, includes the golf and cart fees, continental breakfast, lunch during play, a social hour and buffet dinner after the tournament, and awards ceremony.

The college is also seeking individuals and businesses interested in being tournament sponsors. Sponsorship options range from $100 for tee sponsors to $250 for hole sponsors, $1,000 for double-eagle sponsors and $3,000 for tournament co-sponsors.

Tee sponsors have their company names on signs placed prominently on the course during play while hole sponsors have customized flags placed on a green during play. (The flags are given to the sponsors after the tournament.)

Double-eagle sponsors receive a plaque and recognition in the tournament program. Hole-in-one tournament co-sponsors receive a plaque, recognition in the tournament program, and recognition on the tournament banner.

Both the double-eagle and hole-in-one sponsors also receive a golf foursome for the tournament, which includes the golf and cart fees, continental breakfast, lunch during play, a social hour and buffet dinner after the tournament, and awards ceremony.

Proceeds from the annual golf tournament fund the college’s athletic scholarships. More than $350,000 in athletic scholarships have been awarded from tournament proceeds since the inaugural tournament in 1992.
