Bowie Lax Coach Going to England

The following will appear in this week's "Catching Up With ---" in the Blade-News:
Bowie resident Kaylan Billingsley accepted the position of head coach of girls lacrosse at Uppingham School in Rutland, England.
Uppingham School is one of England’s oldest and most prestigious boarding schools and boasts that it has the largest amount of athletic fields of any preparatory school in England. Along with coaching girls lacrosse, Kaylan will be involved in teaching physical education, tutoring and pastoral duties.
Kaylan began her lacrosse experience by playing for the Bowie Boys and Girls Club. She then went on to play at Archbishop Spalding High School and LaSalle University. While at LaSalle, Kaylan was a two-time Division I Academic All-American and Academic Atlantic 10 All-Conference athlete.
Following her graduation from LaSalle in 2008, Kaylan earned — through an intense two-day tryout — an invitation to attend the USA World Cup Training Camp at UMBC. Kaylan also spent the summer lacrosse season as a coach for the Maryland United Lacrosse Club in Severna Park, where she was a defensive coach and coordinator for a highly successful U16 girls team.
Kaylan’s dad Paul — a girls lacrosse coach for BBGC — sent e-mail to the Blade-News Monday to say that Kaylan enjoyed a safe flight and landed in England earlier in the morning.

Wish me luck, folks. I traded e-mails with Paul today and I am hoping he can convince Kaylan (a former Blade-News Shout-Outs Award winner) to write a guest column for the sports section.
Actually, wish Kaylan luck!
