Bowie High School and Bowie State University each won big games over the weekend.
BHS defeated Bladensburg 50-0! The win got the Bulldogs to 2-4 as they gear up for their road game at Eleanor Roosevelt this Saturday at 2pm! Bowie fans need to go out and support first-year coach Lionel Macklin and his players.
Bowie State won its road game at Elizabeth City State University 37-33. The Bulldogs were down 33-17 with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter and a fumble recovery for a TD by safety Terrence Peete Jr. put BSU up for good.
In fact, Peete has been nominated for the Heritage Sports Radio Network National Player of the Week. Please visit http://www.hsrn.com/ to vote for TP2. Peete was named the CIAA Defensive Back of the Week and freshman QB Emmanuel Yeager was named the CIAA Rookie of the Week.
You gotta love the fall!!!
