Pierce Day Is All Time

Posted: November 1, 1:28 pm | (permalink) | (0 comments)

Based on records available to sports information director Scott Strasemeier, the 267 yards rushing by Temple tailback Bernard Pierce are believed to be the most against Navy in the history of the program. Navy has gone against all sorts of great tailbacks over the years - from Tony Dorsett of Pittsburgh to LaDainian Tomlinson of TCU - and none has ever roll up as many yards on the ground as Pierce. Wow!
