Eckel Signs With Saints

   For those who may have missed it, former Naval Academy fullback Kyle Eckel signed with the New Orleans Saints last week as a replacement for the injured Heath Evans. Eckel played for New Orleans in Monday night's 35-27 victory over Atlanta. and got mentioned on television as "former Naval Academy standout." Navy sports information director Scott Strasemeier said Eckel had been doing sports radio in Philadelphia after being released by his hometown Eagles just prior to the start of the regular season.
