Another Defensive Stop

Notre Dame is quickly running out of chances. For about the fifth time in this game, the Fighting Irish drove into the red zone and failed to come away with points. This time, quarterback Jimmy Clausen threw an interception at the 5-yard line. Clausen threw the ball at wide receiver Michael Floyd, who was blocking and had his back turned to the quarterback. The ball bounced off Floyd's back and into the arms of Navy linebacker Ram Vela to thwart yet another scoring opportunity.
