Two recruits that were committed to attend the Naval Academy Prep School had a late change of heart this week.

  Logan Hutton, a wide receiver from LaMarque High in Texas, received a scholarship offer from Minnesota on National Signing Day and accepted. Hutton told the Daily News of Minnesota that he had reservations about de-committing from the Naval Academy, but could not pass up a chance to play in the Big Ten Conference at the same school as his older brother.

  "It's hard, because the Navy coaches came into our house," Hutton said. "But I just couldn't pass this up. In Big Ten football, all these schools are the biggest in their state, and so it’s passionate, unlike anything else."

   Hutton was a first team all-district selection. The 6-foot, 185-pound receiver caught 27 passes for 343 yards and two touchdowns as a senior.

   Also, running back Nico Steriti of Toms River, N.J. has switched his commitment to New Hampshire of the Colonial Athletic Association. The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder was the Asbury Park Press Offensive Player of the Year after rushing for 1,625 yadrs and 23 touchdowns as a senior.
