Crownsville — A sewage problem forced the Mary E. Moss Academy in Crownsville to close Thursday morning.
Students didn't get a free day off, however. They were taken by bus from their regular bus stops to the Carver Staff Development Center in Gambrills, where classes were held. School officials said they expected some changes in bus pickup and drop-off times due to the change in location.
Mary E. Moss is an alternative public high school that serves about 45 students, according to the school system. It is located near the former Crownsville Hospital Center.
