Elsie Edmondo
Elsie M. Edmondo, 90, a resident of Annapolis, died of natural causes April 25.
Mrs. Edmondo was a former longtime resident of Rockville, Conn.
She was born in Mapleville, R.I., to the late Patrick and Irene Maher.
She graduated from Rockville High School in 1935 and was employed by the Broad Brook Co. in the weaving department.
She married the late Peter A. Edmondo in 1940. They settled in Ellington, Conn., where she helped her husband run his shoe repair shop. The couple operated Pete's Soda Shop in Rockville in the 1950s and '60s. Mrs. Edmondo then worked for the Connecticut Bank and Trust office in Rockville in the loan department.
Upon her retirement from the bank, the couple traveled, antiquing around New England. She was very adept at needle point and hooking rugs.
She was a fan of the University of Connecticut women's basketball team.
Survivors include one son Peter M. Edmondo of Edgewater; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Chester Maher; and two sisters Florence Dwyer and Shirley Rauschenbach.
Funeral arrangements are by Kalas Funeral Home. No services are planned and burial is private.

Elihue Hamilton
The Rev. Elihue Wilford Hamilton, 81, a resident of Annapolis, died April 25 after a long illness.
The Rev. Hamilton was born Feb. 22, 1927, in Silsbee, Texas, to the late Nero Hamilton and Mariah Dill. He was educated in the Texas public school systems. In 1945 he graduated from Waldo Frazier-Mathews High School, where he was the class president.
In 1947, the Rev. Hamilton married the late Elizabeth Harriett Johnson Hamilton.
He enlisted in the Navy in 1952 where he served honorably for 17 years. He retired from the Navy as a petty officer 2nd class. During his career he received such honors as the National Defense Service Medal; the Navy Occupation Service Medal with European Clasp; and the Good Conduct Medal.
The Rev. Hamilton enjoyed his pastoral charge under the direction of the late Rev. Leroy Bowman and beside the Rev. Louis J. Boston, with whom he was ordained in 1970. He enjoyed church, reading, politics, travel and visiting with his church family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his second wife the late Sarah Sadonia Brown Booze Hamilton.
He is survived by one daughter, Melanie E. Hamilton-Johnson; two grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.
A viewing is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at First Baptist Church, 31 West Washington St. The wake is at 11:30 a.m. followed by the funeral at noon. Internment follows at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Arrangements are by Reese and Sons Mortuary.
Marion Keegan
Marion Keegan, 83, a resident of Crofton and formerly of Kensington, died of breast cancer April 27 at her home.
Mrs. Keegan served as a lay member of the Roman Catholic Dominican Order for almost 60 years.
Born in Detroit, Mich. to the late Aloysius and Christine Pacala on May 12, 1924, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth B. Keegan, a son Kenneth F. Keegan, and a daughter Adele Jacoby, two grandsons, and a sister Lucille Johnston.
Survivors include six daughters, Patricia Marhefka of Mineral Point, Pa., Mary Hall of Alexandria, Va., Teresa Keegan of St. Peters, Mo., Donna Benton of Crofton and Regina Keegan of Crofton, Carol Keegan of Springfield, Mo.; one son, Thomas Keegan of Germantown; one sister, Geraldine Magee; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. followed by a funeral service tomorrow at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 N.W. Crain Highway (Route 3 South) in Bowie. Interment is in the Springfield National Cemetery in Springfield, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lay Dominicans of Wisconsin, the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer.
Joan McGeehan
Joan Elizabeth McGeehan, 73, a resident of Severna Park for 42 years, died of natural causes April 27 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Mrs. McGeehan was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Baltimore to the late Charles and Thelma Kassakatis.
She was a member of Severna Park Ladies Bowling League and a volunteer at Partners in Care.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed going to yard sales.
She is survived by her ex-husband, Richard McGeehan of Ellicott City; one daughter, Karen McGeehan of Ellicott City; two sons, Rick Reilly of Stockton, N.J., and Mark McGeehan of Annapolis; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one daughter Cindy McGeehan.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.

Rodney Mitchell Jr.
Rodney Paul "Pete" Mitchell Jr., 60, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, died at his home April 27 after a one year illness.
Born Dec. 19, 1947, in Wyndber, Pa., to Doris Naomi Mitchell of Arnold and the late Rodney Paul Mitchell Sr., he graduated from Annapolis High School in 1965. He was employed with the Anne Arundel County public school system for 30 years before retiring in 2001.
He was a member of the Beekeepers of Anne Arundel County and enjoyed boating, fishing, golf and culinary arts. He was a wine enthusiast and enjoyed woodworking.
Besides his mother, survivors include his wife, Alicia Hardisky Mitchell, whom he married May 24, 1996; and one sister, Joann Mitchell Sims of Arnold.
A memorial gathering will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. tomorrow at Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. Interment is private.

Maureen Morris
The Rev. Maureen June Morris, 57, of Severna Park and formerly of Henry, Ill., died unexpectedly April 21, at her home.
Born June 29, 1950, in Washington D.C., the Rev. Morris graduated in 1968 from Severna Park High School, and attended the University of Maryland, where she earned a master's degree in microbiology. She worked in that field for several years until entering seminary in Kentucky.
She served on the pastoral staff of two churches in the Midwest, and served as a minister in the Blackhawk Presbytery in Oregon, Ill., until 1995, when she returned to Severna Park to take up residence in her family home in Ben Oaks. As a minister in the Presbytery of Baltimore, she served as an interim pastor for several area churches, including a position for several years as interim associate pastor for pastoral care at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, and was most recently listed as parish associate on the staff. At the time of her death, she was on sabbatical from her ministry, and was enrolled at Anne Arundel Community College in the physician's assistant program.
Her interests included classical music; she played the piano and clarinet. She also occasionally joined her sister, the late Marion Overman, in the NaFianna Pipe Band. She enjoyed traveling, and toured the country by bus after college. Her most recent trip was to Italy in 2007.
She is survived by her son, Jeremy Morris of Severna Park; one sister, Karen S. Morris of Toronto, Canada; and two nieces of Severna Park.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park.

Andrew Stasny III
Andrew Stasny III, 48, a resident of Stevensville, died at his home April 25.
Born on March 13, 1960 in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was the son of Andrew Stasny II and Marianne Farbaches Stasny of Dagsboro, Del.
Mr. Stasny graduated from Einstein High School in Kensington. He worked as an auto mechanic for Ace Allen's Auto for 18 years. Most recently, he worked at G&G Auto in Stevensville.
Mr. Stasny was an associate member of the American Legion Post 278 in Stevensville, and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Turner Shultz; two sons, Andrew Lavern Stasny and Timothy R. Stasny of Denton; one step-son, Jonathan Turner Sosebee; maternal grandmother, Rosella Farbacher of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one brother, Daniel Stasny; and two sisters, Mary Lynn McCabe of Federalsburg and Beth Ann Reynolds of Mount Airy.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 5319 Ocean Gateway in Queenstown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Queen Anne's County Humane Society, 201 Clay Drive, Queenstown, MD 21658

Charles Barnes
The obituary of Charles Barnes in the April 23 editions of The Capital contained incorrect informatiom. It did not include the date of his graduation from Annapolis High School, which was 1953, and the correct last name of his surviving sister, Joan Arlene Cullember.
