Regina Adams

Regina P. Adams, 85, a life-long resident of Edgewater, died Feb. 28 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Mrs. Adams was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Bowie to the late Paul and Lola E. Hall Lloyd, and graduated from Bowie High School.

She was a 30-year employee of Sealtest Foods in Washington, D.C.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville, and was an active member of the NARFE.

She enjoyed travel, crossword puzzles, and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Thomas; her former husband, Robert Adams; two daughters, Barbara Sherbert and Linda Little; three brothers, Virgie, Earl and Melvin Lloyd; and two sisters, Dorothy Dick and Eleanor Chisholm.

Survivors include one sister, Helen Robey of New Carrollton; and three grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave.

A funeral Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 West Central Ave. in Davidsonville.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.

Lillyan Farmer

Lillyan Loretta Farmer, 87, of Severn and previously of Tarpon Spring, Fla., died Feb. 26 at Stella Maris Hospice.

Mrs. Farmer was born Nov. 4, 1920, in Idaho.

She worked in real estate in the late 1960s through the 1980s.

She enjoyed golfing, bridge and all animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, P. Howard Farley; and her second husband, Jack H. Farmer.

Survivors include one son, W.H. Farley of Fairfax, Va.; one daughter, Joan Proulx of Severn; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services and interment are private. Arrangements are by Hardesty Funeral Home.

Teofilo de Guzman

Teofilo Villamil "Pilo" de Guzman, 77, of Norfolk, Va., for two years and previously of Annapolis, died of a myocardial infarction Feb. 22 at DePaul Hospital in Norfolk.

Mr. de Guzman was born May 19, 1930, in Davao City, Philippines, and attended Mindanao College.

He worked for Air America in Vientiane, Laos, for Iran Aircraft Industry in Tehran, Iran, and retired from Annapolis Lowes Hotel.

He enjoyed fishing and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lucena de Guzman; three sons, Rodrigo and Elbert de Guzman of Makati, Philippines and Joey de Guzman of Budapest, Hungary; three daughters, Melva Castro of Temacula, Calif., Juvy McLaughlin of Norfolk and Ellen de Guzman of Upper Marlboro; four brothers and two sisters in the Philippines; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Metropolitan Funeral Home, 7246 Granby St. in Norfolk.

A memorial Mass will be offered at 1 p.m. March 8 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7800 Halprin Drive in Norfolk.

Timothy Hanlon

Timothy Michael Hanlon, 52, of Gambrills died of heart disease Feb. 15 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Mr. Hanlon was born July 27, 1955, in Washington, D.C., to John F. and Pat Hanlon of Catonsville.

He was a research analyst for the IRS.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela J. Hanlon; one son, Michael A. Hanlon of Gambrills; and one brother, John G. Hanlon.

Family and friends may visit from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Aloysius Church, 19 I St. NW in Washington, D.C.

A memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment is private.

Ellen Hockenberry

Ellen M. Hockenberry, 74, a resident of Glen Burnie for five years and previously of Eastport and Annapolis, died of heart failure Feb. 26 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Mrs. Hockenberry was born March 22, 1933, in Annapolis.

She worked as a telephone operator with AT&T for over 30 years.

She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Annapolis Post.

She enjoyed country music, traveling, and going to Williamsburg. She was a caregiver for her family members.

She preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hockenberry; and one son, Mikey Givens.

Survivors include one son, Albert Givens Jr. of Jessup; one brother, James Ford of Glen Burnie; one sister, Amy Daywalt of Annapolis; and one granddaughter.

Family and friends may join in the celebration of her life from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Interment is private.

Hugh McCoy

Hugh M. McCoy, 60, of Ridgway, Colo., died Feb. 1 at Montrose Memorial Hospital in Colorado.

Mr. McCoy was born March 14, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Col. Howard and Pauline McCoy.

He graduated from the Gilman School in Baltimore, and attended the U.S. Naval Academy and Embry Riddle Aeronautical Institute.

He worked for Aspen/Mesa Airlines, and built and flew a single seat experimental airplane.

He was an avid sailor and pilot, and achieved racing skipper certification at the Severn Sailing Association. He built and chartered at 47-foot Catamaran in the Caribbean for eight years, and built a 60-foot Catamaran, which he sailed in the Ostar Trans-Atlantic Race.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon McCoy; two sons, Jeremiah McCoy of California and Christopher McCoy of Washington; and two brothers, John McCoy of Morrisville, N.C., and Paul McCoy of Severna Park.

Evelyn Osman

Evelyn Ruth Osman, 95, a resident of Crofton, died of natural causes Feb. 29 at Regency Park Assisted Living in Gambrills.

Mrs. Osman was born Aug. 23, 1912, in Rochester, N.Y., to the late William and Florence Jones, and graduated from high school.

She was a homemaker and a member of CARP (Crofton Area Retired Persons).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Osman, whom she married in 1934.

Survivors include two sons, Terry A. Osman of Lusby and Gary A. Osman of Paw Paw, W. Va.; one daughter, Doreen Hilbert of Crofton; six grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway, Bowie. Funeral services are at 11 a. m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by burial at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Estelle Smith

Estelle Virginia Smith, 87, of Annapolis and formerly of Deale, died of natural causes Feb. 26 at Annapolitan Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 19, 1921, in Scranton, Pa., and graduated from high school.

She owned and operated Smith Store in Deale, together with her husband.

She enjoyed traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Bryce Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Smith of Arnold and Gregory Smith of Gaithersburg; one daughter, Carroll Faber of Churchton; two brothers, Joseph Strojek of Taylor, Pa., and John Strojek of Odessa, Texas; two sisters, Mary and Helen Strojek of Washington, D.C.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services are private; interment is in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Arrangements are by Hardesty Funeral Home.
