Velma Brown
Velma Brown, 94, a resident of Enid, Okla., for 35 years and previously of Denver City, Texas, died of heart failure March 14.
Mrs. Brown was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Ringwood, Okla. She graduated from Goltry High School in 1929.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and was a Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd O. Brown.
Survivors include one son, Billy F. Brown of Arnold; one daughter, Beverly Jo Jackson of Edmond, Okla.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, at Highway 75 and Ridgeview Drive in McKinney, Texas.
Interment will be Wednesday in Memorial Park in Edmond.

Warren Darby
Warren E. Darby, 75, a resident of Pasadena for 50 years, died of natural causes March 14 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Darby was born March 13, 1933, in Baltimore and was raised in Brooklyn Park.
He was a retired Baltimore City police officer, and served in the Army from 1950 to 1953.
He was the past master of Corinthian Lodge 093, and was a member of the American Legion Post 277 and the Fraternal Order of Police, Baltimore City Lodge.
He enjoyed playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley E. Darby.
Survivors include three sons, Ray E. Darby of Collierville, Tenn., and Larry E. and Darrell E. Darby of Pasadena; one sister, Joan Broseker of Severna Park; and four grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park.

Clifton Johnson Sr.
Clifton "Buckeye" Johnson Sr., 69, a resident of Annapolis for 45 years and previously of Gambrills, died of cancer March 13 in his home after a long illness.
Mr. Johnson, who was also known as "Shadow,"was born Nov. 12, 1938, in Conaways and graduated from the former Wiley H. Bates High School.
He worked for A.C. Drywall, Ray Sears and Sons Contracting, and Annapolis Dirt Contractors.
His main interest was in building and maintaining relationships; he also enjoyed working on things and spending time at the Jonas Green State Park beach with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. Johnson; and one son, Clifton Johnson Jr.
Survivors include three sons, Floyd Elroy Johnson of Glen Burnie, Derek Dewayne Johnson of Annapolis and Carl Antonio Johnson of Arnold; two daughters, Tirell Tawanda Johnson of Annapolis and Coral Lynn Johnson of Perry Hall; two brothers, Otho Johnson Jr. of Annapolis and David Johnson Sr. of Bowie; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A Christian wake will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Reese and Sons Mortuary, 821 West St., where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
Mary Levandoski
Mary Levandoski, 86, of Warrior Run, Pa., died March 14 at her home.
Mrs. Levandoski was born Oct. 1, 1921, in Nanticoke, Pa., to the late Dennis and Mary Lavan O'Brien. She attended Warrior Run High School.
She was employed by Pioneer Manufacturing and Woodbury Manufacturing, both of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., until her retirement in 1983.
She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local in Wilkes-Barre, and formerly of the Warrior Run Fire Company Auxiliary. She was also a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
She was a frequent visitor to both Riva and Annapolis, where she had many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bernard J. Levandoski; three brothers, Charles, Daniel and Gerald O'Brien; one sister, Dorothy Kuklewicz; and two grandsons.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Levandoski of Riva and Bernard Levandoski of Plymouth, Pa.; one sister, Alberta Smith of Vallejo, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow at George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St. in Ashley, Pa.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 828 Main St., in Sugar Notch, Pa. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Alfred Luciani
Alfred Mario "Boosh" Luciani, 81, of Annapolis died of complications of renal cancer March 15 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 17, 1926, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late Frank and Laura Luciani.
From 1955 to 1966, he coached St. Anthony's CYO football at Turkey Thickett field, and from 1966 to 1996 he coached junior varsity baseball and varsity football for Archbishop Carroll High School. In 2005, he was inducted into the Archbishop Carroll High School Alumni Association Hall of Honor.
He served in World War II and in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Aldo Lucian; and one sister, Olga Hillard.
Survivors include two brothers, John and Robert Lucian; and two sisters, Rita Giovenco and Elsie Fallica.
Family and friends may join in the celebration of his life from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 16501 Annapolis Road in Bowie. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Washington, D.C.

Dorothy Pearson
Dorothy Louise Pearson, 94, a resident of Crofton for 38 years and previously of Hobart, Ind., died of heart failure March 12 at Crofton Convalescent Center after an illness of two years.
Mrs. Pearson was born Aug. 30, 1913, in Crown Point, Ind. She graduated from Hobart High School and studied nursing at Methodist Hospital in Gary, Ind.
She worked as a nurse in Crofton from 1980 to 2005, and overall worked as a nurse for 70 years.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and living and traveling overseas with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pearson Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Dawn Clapp of Crofton; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road in Bowie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1370 Defense Highway in Crofton.
Interment will be in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville.
