Peter Cross Jr.
Peter Irving Cross Jr., 85, a resident of Severna Park for over 30 years, died of natural causes May 13 at Genesis Eldercare in Severna Park.
Mr. Cross was born Aug. 29, 1922, in Baltimore, where he was raised.
He owned and operated P. Irving Cross and Son Parking in Baltimore for over 20 years.
Mr. Cross served in the Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 175 and the Elks in Severna Park. He enjoyed investing in stocks.
He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Angela S. Cross, who died in 2006.
Survivors include one sister, Sarah Cross Douglas of Timonium.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 1080 Sunrise Beach Road in Crownsville. Interment will follow. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.

Clarence Parker Jr.
Clarence E. "Jackie" Parker Jr., 63, of Annapolis and previously of Baltimore, died May 12 at Annapolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Parker was born Nov. 5, 1945, in Annapolis to the late Clarence and Victoria Parker. He was educated in the Anne Arundel County School system.
Survivors include five sons: Kevin Todd, Kelly Travis, Keith Troy, Terrance and Michael Parker; two daughters, Kimberly V. White and Karen P. Butler; one brother, Warren A. Parker; five sisters, Phylis Parker, Marita Parker-Hill, Yvonne Jacobs, Marilyn Fisher and Brenda Jordan; and four grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit at 9 a.m. Monday at Reese and Sons Mortuary, 821 West St. A Christian wake will follow at 10:30 a.m., and a service of triumph will begin at 11 a.m.
Beatrice Retalis
Beatrice J. "BJ" Burnham Retalis, 76, a resident of Severna Park since 1975, died May 12 in her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Retalis was born March 28, 1932, in Ipswich, Mass., to the late Lawrence and Frances Cogswell Burnham. She was raised in Essex, Mass.
She was a former member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Ipswich.
Mrs. Retalis was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Retalis, in 2002.
Survivors include one son, Timothy Amero of Severna Park; three daughters, Diane Pino of Tennessee, Lauren Girard of Beverly and Glenna Amero; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Morris Funeral Home, 45 North Main St., Ipswich.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church on Lafayette Road in Ipswich. Interment will be in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery in Ipswich.
