Lloyd Clinton Jr.
Lloyd E. "Gene" Clinton Jr., 73, of Arnold, died July 22 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Clinton was born Oct. 29, 1934, in Missouri and was raised in Baltimore. He attended the University of Maryland, College Park and earned an accounting degree from Baltimore College of Commerce and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore.
At the time of his death, he was a self-employed attorney practicing law from his office in Glen Burnie.
He served in the Marine Corps from 1951 to 1959, including service in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty Jean Beach Clinton; two daughters, Cheryl Doyle of Preston and Nicole Weigman of Arnold; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
A private interment was held today in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Arrangements were by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.

Madeline Cole
Madeline "Maddie" Schwalb Cole, 72, of Annapolis and previously of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., died of complications from diabetes July 23 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mrs. Cole was born May 28, 1936, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Annie and Samuel Schwalb. She studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
She worked briefly in the fashion industry and later worked in continuing education for the Poughkeepsie public school system. She worked for many years in the travel industry and visited places such as Thailand, Egypt, South America and the Caribbean.
She volunteered for community and charitable causes, including Temple Beth-El in Poughkeepsie. After her youngest daughter developed a severe mental illness in infancy, she spent many years working to reform health care and long-term care regulations for the physically and mentally impaired.
She enjoyed summers in the Catskill region of New York during her childhood, where she continued to visit throughout her life. While her love for family and friends was foremost, she also enjoyed swimming, theatre, history, watching ice skating competitions, preparing Jewish cuisine and knitting.
Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by one daughter, Abbie Cole, in 1990; and one brother, Alan Schwalb of Liberty, N.Y.
Survivors include three sons, M. Scott Cole of Jersey City, N.J., J. Peter Cole of Chicago and Adam Cole of Edgewater; one daughter, Beth Bassman of Chicago; two sisters, Phyllis Luts of Rockville and Francine Phillips of Poughkeepsie; two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral arrangements are by Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello, N.Y. Internment will be at Congregation Ahavath Isreal Cemetery in Liberty, N.Y.

Vera Kincer
Vera G. Porpora Kincer, 70, a resident of Arnold for 36 years, died of lupus July 20 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a long illness.
Mrs. Kincer was born Sept. 20, 1937, in Baltimore to the late Anthony J. and Vera Farber Porpora.
She worked as a bank teller for Union Trust and Laurel Federal, and she was a former school bus driver for Jones of Annapolis.
She was a longtime member of Belvedere Yacht Club and was the former First Lady of Chesapeake Commodores' Club.
She enjoyed horseback riding, competing in her younger years, and roller skating and boating.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, LeVerne C. Porpora.
Survivors include her husband of almost 38 years, Ellis L. Kincer; three stepsons, Steve M. Kincer of Arnold, Timothy S. Kincer of Airville, Pa., and Patrick M. Kincer of Greensboro; one sister, Beverly Porpora Waller of Richmond, Va.; one stepbrother, Harry Clarke of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.

Anna Queen
Anna Pauline Queen, 90, of Severn, died July 20 in her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Queen was born July 14, 1918, in Brooklyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Queen Sr.; one son, Lawrence Queen Jr.; and one daughter, Evon Q. Hallman.
Survivors include two sons, Wilmer and Ronald Queen; four daughters, Anna Edwards, Mary Kess, Barbara Green and Joan Queen; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A Christian wake will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m, at Metropolitan United Methodist Church, 548 Queenstown Road in Severn.
Interment will follow in Saint Rest Cemetery in Hanover. Arrangements are by Greene Funeral Services.
John Wenger
John W. Wenger, 80, a resident of Severna Park for 34 years and formerly of Thomasville, Ga., died of heart failure July 22 in his home after a long illness.
He was born April 16, 1928, in Baltimore, where he was raised. He graduated from McDonogh School and earned a liberal arts degree from the University of Maryland in 1948.
He was a retired plant manager for various printing companies.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He enjoyed going to garage sales and golfing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lee Wenger.
Survivors include one son, Rick M. Wenger of Martinez, Ga.; and one sister, Laurette Scharper of Lutherville.
Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
