Constance Bailey

Constance "Connie" Bailey, 68, a resident of Pinehurst, N.C., and formerly of Easton and Severna Park, died of a staph infection July 30 at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Born in Baltimore on Sept. 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Carville Duncan.

She graduated in 1957 from Glen Burnie High School and studied business administration at the University of Houston. She worked for 26 years in the Anne Arundel County Legal system.

She owned Easton Paper and Supplies in Easton for 10 years. She was an avid golfer and once resided in St. Michaels. She enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jerry M. Bailey; two daughters, Denise Lynne Anderson of Severna Park and Pamela Lorraine Bailey of Easton; one brother, Duncan; and one sister, Betty Heatwole.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. in Severna Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Kidney Foundation or the Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church's missionary fund.

Arrangements are by Crumpler Funeral Home in Pinehurst, N.C.

Miriam Greenberg

Miriam J. Greenberg, 82, a resident of Annapolis, died of complications from a stroke July 16 at Manor Care Ruxton in Towson.

She was born on Oct. 25, 1925, in Hyattsville.

Ms. Greenberg graduated from Hyattsville High School in 1943, then attended the University of Maryland. She went on to a 35-year career as a physical education professor at Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va., where she enjoyed a winning record as coach of the swim team and founded the school's synchronized swimming club.

Ms. Greenberg was active in the Heritage Harbor Community Association and St. Martin's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one sister, Maxine Prescott of New York City; and one brother, Marvin Greenberg of Silver Spring.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, 1120 Spa Road.

Betty O'Haver

Betty O'Haver, 77, a resident of Crofton for 30 years, died of pancreatic cancer Aug. 5 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium.

Mrs. O'Haver was born in Muskegon, Mich., on July 12, 1931, to Louis and Elizabeth Tisch. She was a registered nurse, working in oncology while living in Ottawa, Canada. She also cared for injured soldiers at Fort George G. Meade Army Hospital. She completed her career working at the Doctors Hospital in Prince George's

County.

After retiring from nursing, she worked at Kohl's in Bowie, where she was recognized for her dedication on numerous occasions.

She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's ice skating events and T-ball games.

She married Harry O'Haver in 1959, and the couple later divorced.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Tisch; and two sisters, Emma Jean Schmidt and Janice Fredrick.

Survivors include one son, Michael O'Haver of Crofton; three daughters, Judy O'Haver of Crofton and Pat O'Haver and Kathy O'Haver Dalrymple of Towson; three brothers, Louis Tisch of Big Rapids, Mich., David Tisch of Spring, Texas, and Tom Tisch of Glen View, Ill.; one sister, Marilyn Kundrata of Traverse City, Mich.; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 17 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6428 York Road in Baltimore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stella Maris Hospice, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road, Lutherville, MD 21093.
