Drug arrest
A Prince George's County man was arrested Tuesday after police allegedly found him with 23 grams of crack cocaine, city police said.
At just before 11 p.m., officers on patrol in the Harbour House community saw a large group of people standing outside, and saw a man hiding behind a corner about 25 feet away from the group.
He darted away when he saw police, and tried to throw something on to a second-floor porch, but he missed, police said. Police followed him when he tried to walk away.
Officers found the item he threw, which was 23.3 grams of crack cocaine, and the man was arrested. He also had $588 in cash, police said.
Otis K. James, 28, of Laurel, was charged with drug possession with the intent to distribute and trespassing, police said. Gas hoses taken
Someone stole six gas hoses Sunday or Monday from Marc Bowen Parole Service Station on Forest Drive, city police said.
The hoses appeared to have been unscrewed from the pumps sometime between 1 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday, police said.
They were valued at $1,800, police said.
