Linthicum - County police arrested two people in connection with two drug robberies at the Linthicum Pharmacy on Hammonds Ferry Road.
Antoin Robinson, 27, and Jessica Brown, 22, who share an apartment in the 600 block of Charante Court in Glen Burnie, were arrested Sunday after police received multiple tips following the release of the pair's photographs from the pharmacy security camera.
The robberies occurred on July 1 and Aug. 14.
At 1:16 p.m. July 1 two men entered the pharmacy. One approached the counter with a dark colored handgun and a note demanding a variety of prescription drugs, while the other pointed a gun at the employees.
They snatched the drugs and ran away.
On Aug. 14 at 12:42 p.m. a black man and white woman entered the Linthicum Pharmacy at 400 Hammonds Ferry Road.
The man, holding a dark colored handgun leapt the counter to control the employees while the woman grabbed prescription drugs from the pharmacy shelves. The two then ran away.
After arresting the pair police executed search warrants on the suspects' vehicles and their apartment.
Police said they found a handgun along with many of the stolen drugs were found.
The two were charged in the Aug. 14 robbery and Mr. Robinson was charged in the July 1 theft.
Both are being held at the Jennifer Road Detention center in lieu of bond.
City begins search for new attorney
Annapolis - Assistant City Attorney Anndreeze H. Williams was named the interim city attorney this morning.
Mrs. Williams replaces Shaem C. Spencer who earlier this month Gov. Martin O'Malley appointed to be a judge for Anne Arundel County District Court.
City spokesman Ray Weaver said Mr. Spencer's last day working for the city is today.
Ms. Williams' term as acting city attorney begins tomorrow, he said.
Mr. Weaver said city officials plan to name a full-time city attorney, as well as hire an assistant city attorney, in the coming weeks.
Man sentenced for child porn
ODENTON - An Odenton man who had more than 600 pornographic images of children on his computer was sentenced to more than five months in prison yesterday.
As a part of a plea deal, Stanley Patrick Demoulin, 45, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge William D. Quarles Jr. to 63 months in prison, according to a press release.
As part of his sentence, Demoulin also will have to register as a sex offender, is not permitted to own a computer without permission and will be under court supervision for the rest of his life.
According to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, between Nov. 13, 2006 and Jan. 17, 2007, Demoulin bought access to a Web site that hosted child pornography.
His home was searched on Oct. 17, 2007 and investigators found more than 600 illicit images on his computer, including some of prepubescent children.
