Joseph Candella III
Joseph P. "Joe" Candella III, 69, of Gambrills, died of lung cancer Sept. 30 at the Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House in Harwood.
Mr. Candella was born March 22, 1939, in Chicago.
He began his career in the oil business operating his own gas station, then worked his way up to senior vice president of marketing for Crown Central Petroleum in Baltimore.
In 1993, he was retained by the country of Oman to develop the marketing network and distribution system for their national petroleum products distributor. For the last eight years, he was one of the top 20 consultants for International Profit Associates.
He enlisted in the Marine Corps when he was 17, serving as a basic infantryman at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Survivors include his wife of over 45 years, Sandra L. Candella; two sons, Joseph P. Candella IV of Odenton and Robert A. Candella of Severna Park; one daughter, Lt. Col. Gina C. Humble of Odenton; and six grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be offered at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave. S. in Millersville.
Interment with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 29 at Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Beall Funeral Home.

Patrick Lunczynski
Patrick J. Lunczynski Jr., 42, a resident of Severna Park for 35 years, died Oct. 1 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Mr. Lunczynski was born Jan. 12, 1966, in Baltimore to Sandra Lunczynski of Severna Park and the late Patrick J. Lunczynski Sr.
He worked as a master plumber for various plumbing businesses.
He enjoyed playing video games.
Survivors include one son, Patrick J. Lunczynski III of College Park; one daughter, Crystal L. Lunczynski of Shrewsbury, Pa.; two brothers, William M. Lunczynski of Owings and Michael D. Lunczynski of Severna Park; three sisters, Deborah A Lunczynski of Severna Park, Angela Marie Sattler of Chestertown and Pamela J. Douglas of Annapolis; and one granddaughter.
A memorial Mass will be offered at noon tomorrow at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.

Eileen Urschel
Eileen E. Urschel, 86, of Severna Park, died of natural causes Sept. 29 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Urschel was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Miamisburg, Ohio, and graduated from Franklin High School in 1940.
She and her husband spent winters in Florida, where they enjoyed an active life. In Maryland, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, reading and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by one son, Donald Urschel.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Robert Urschel; one daughter, Cathy Keyser of Severna Park; one brother, Bill Wade of Ohio; three sisters, Dottie Logan, Betty Hough and Ruth Zech; and three grandchildren.
A private celebration of her life was held at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. Arrangements were by Kaufman Funeral Home.

Spencer Weissinger
Spencer Eugene Weissinger, 76, of Arnold and previously of Charlottesville, Va., died of heart complications Sept. 23 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mr. Weissinger was born Dec. 18, 1931, in Cary, Miss., and attended Milsaps College and the University of Virginia.
He was a partner in the accounting firm of Salley and Weissinger for many years.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Hyde, Harry McElroy and John Leonard Weissinger; and one sister, Ann Powers.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary Neil Steadman; one daughter, Katherine Noxon of Winston Salem, N.C.; one sister, Clare Hoover of Bethesda; and two granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in Charlottesville. Arrangements are by Hardesty Funeral Home.
