County police have released a sketch of the man who assaulted and robbed an elderly woman in a Westfield Annapolis mall parking garage on Sept. 29. The man allegedly struck a 62-year-old woman over the head with a heavy object as she was loading shopping bags into the trunk of her car outside Nordstrom at just before 1 p.m., police said.
The man knocked the woman to the ground and took a laptop computer and case, an iPod Nano, and jewelry before running away. He was last seen running with the merchandise down Admiral Drive in Annapolis. Police said the man is as black, about 5-feet, 11-inches tall, with a thin, athletic build, and cornrows. He was wearing all black clothing at the time of the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Michael Praley at 410-222-1961.
