A Glen Burnie man was flown to a shock trauma center Friday following a bicycle accident on Rowe Boulevard, city police said.
City police found the man bleeding and unconscious at Rowe Boulevard and Calvert Street around 9:25 a.m.
He apparently hit his front brakes, went over the handlebars, and struck his head. No vehicles were involved.
As paramedics arrived he started to regain consciousness, but he was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore because of the nature of his injuries. He was treated and released.
