The Integrity of the Vote - 2010-09-04 12:08:19
Even though legal, I believe that Early Voting is a threat to the security and sanctity of the Ballot Box. Misuse and voter fraud will be rife. Illegal aliens who have two and three licenses will be able to vote multiple times. People will vote more than once and no one will ever be the wiser.
Election boards, around the state, could barely manage the process when there was a single day to vote. I don't have and the public can have no expectation of an accurate accounting of the integrity of the ballot box so long as Early Voting is allowed. Convenience is not a reason to sacrifice the security and the perception of security of the ballot box.
