Kathryn Goetzke White knew she was on to something when her research on colors and how they affect moods seemed to indicate that there was a market for colored light bulbs. It was something she had studied in college, and envisioned a business that applied color to lighting.
"I had it all planned out," Mrs. White said. "I just didn't know if the market was ready for it."
Then, General Electric came out with its version, targeting parties. Still, she waited.
