Westfield Annapolis has dropped plans for a sporting goods store and will instead look for a home furnishings company to anchor the $100 million expansion it will begin next month, company officials said. Once completed in late 2007, the mall in Parole would nudge aside Arundel Mills in Hanover as the biggest shopping center in the county at 1.5 million square feet. The latest details were unveiled to members of the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce at a reception Thursday night, six months after the county approved plans for a 300,000-square-foot development.
