Karen Ferguson is the president of Jan Ferguson Inc., an interior “plantscaping” company in Annapolis. She’s sitting next to a plant-filled fountain display that her company put together inside Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Acute Care Pavilion. Ms. Ferguson’s business visits 250 clients a week, making sure plants are properly trimmed, watered and looking great at all times. "They don't want to see dust," said Ms. Ferguson, president of Jan Ferguson Inc. an interior "plantscaping" business in Annapolis. "They don't want to see brown, they don't want to see yellow. It should look like artwork." Seriously. To ensure her displays are of perfecto status, Ms. Ferguson's business services 250 clients weekly, watering, pruning and fertilizing a variety of tropical plants and flowers - sometimes at a moment's notice.
