The corner foundations for what will become the area’s first Target store are ready for skyward construction. Developers hope the entire project will open by October of next year, but the Target and a Whole Foods location hope to open earlier.(Click to see the site development map.) If weather and other factors cooperate, they are shooting for an October 2008 opening. Deals are signed with upscale restaurants and shops that developers say will create a pedestrian-friendly hub at the city’s edge.
