What's going on at the Eastport Shopping Center? : Grocery store question keeps 'em guessingPublished 05/15/07
The longtime Mobil gas station was torn down in December. A large sign along Bay Ridge Avenue indicates cleanup efforts are now taking place at the popular Eastport Shopping Center. But what about the longtime grocery store everyone's been waiting for? Don't hold your breath. The center's manager said he's no closer to a deal than he was three years ago. "We're working, we're trying to bring a grocery store here," said Dan Lederberg, who manages the center under Eastport Plaza LLC. "But there's nothing to report.
