Home prices edge up in June, but sales downPublished 07/11/07
Anne Arundel County home prices edged up slightly last month, after falling along with the number of homes sold during the first half of the year.
The median sale price for a county home in June inched up to $359,900, a 2 percent increase from June 2006, according to Metropolitan Regional Information Systems, a Rockville-based listing service.
The June figure was $15,150 higher than the median sale price in May. But only 676 homes were sold last month, down nearly 10 percent from June 2006. Real estate experts said the dip in the number of homes sold is a sign that the local real estate market is continuing to get back...
