Business owners urged to unite in effort to give new tech tax the axPublished 02/07/08
Business leaders urged local technology firms to get in front of lawmakers and voice their worries as part of a growing effort to repeal the computer services tax passed during a special session of the legislature in November.

At a town hall meeting in downtown Annapolis, business leaders spoke against the impact a computer services sales tax could have on local technology firms. "We have to put a face on this," said Tom Loveland, co-founder of the Maryland Computer Services Association, a lobbying group for the information technology industry that was formed late last year. "They must see us, they must know about this."
