Laura Willoughby is stepping down from her post as executive director of the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council, which she has helped grow in the past three years. Mike McNees of Annapolis, left, and Steve Pennington of Annapolis chat with her before her last event as head of the group on Thursday.
The 32-year-old said she has achieved more than she dreamed possible.
Last week, Ms. Willoughby stepped down as executive director of the county's Chesapeake Regional Tech Council, a once-struggling nonprofit group she helped transform into a thriving organization that now even recruits members from outside Anne Arundel County.
