Charles J. Pastore, with 1st Mariner Mortgage, recently completed a course through the Society of Certified Senior Advisors and earned the designation of certified senior advisor. The society is an international organization that has trained more than 20,000 professionals to work with the special needs of seniors. As a certified senior advisor, Mr. Pastore will participate in continuing education that emphasizes ethical selling and business practices and volunteer service specific to seniors, according to a release. * * * Annapolis-based Purple Cherry Architects recently hired Allison A. Decker to its staff of 13. Ms. Decker, formerly with GWWO Inc. of Baltimore, brings a portfolio of education projects and will be a project manager with the firm. She has provided designs to several school systems in the region including Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County, including renovations to Southgate Elementary School in Glen Burnie. * * * BankAnnapolis recently announced that Susan Harrison was hired as a mortgage loan officer in the Severna Park branch. She will focus on expanding the bank's residential lending throughout the Annapolis area, according to a release.
