State has fifth lowest gas pricesDrivers in the state can breath a relative sigh of relief. The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Maryland dropped to $3.53 by the end of last week, making it one of the least expensive states in the country. That means Marylanders are paying 15 cents less than the national average, which came in at $3.68, according to a release from AAA Mid-Atlantic. Maryland is tied for fifth place with Virginia. The cost of a gallon of regular gas is cheaper in Delaware, where the average is $3.46, the lowest in the nation, followed by New Jersey at $3.47, Missouri at $3.51...
