Vacant storefronts become picture perfectPublished 11/23/08
Two vacant Main Street buildings will be brightened up with pictures by a renowned Annapolis photographer, part of an effort to beautify the twin structures before construction on them begins next year.

People passing two empty buildings on Main Street in Annapolis are greeted by historic city scenes in the vacant windows. Workers are installing nine 40-by-80 inch prints of photographs by Charles E. Emery in the windows of 180 and 178 Main St.Mary Giannini, director of the city's new Main Street program, the buildings' developer, Ken Morrell, and Katherine Burke, owner of the Annapolis Collection Gallery, are working to install nine 40x80 inch prints by Charles E.
