New Zealand software startup plans nationwide growth

A New Zealand software startup is finalizing its move to Annapolis, where the company has set up temporary offices and plans to hire 100 new employees by 2011.

Scott Blackwood, founder and chief executive officer of Unimarket, said the company has moved after successfully piloting its software in Auckland, New Zealand. The company's software aims to create supply-chain efficiencies for the education sector.

Blackwood said Annapolis is a place where he thought his technology would be adopted; it also is quite similar to Auckland, he said.
