Tuesday - The local chapter of SCORE will hold a workshop on business planning from 10:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Big Vanilla Club, 1209 Ritchie Highway, Arnold.

Topics covered include various items needed to plan for the success of your business. Confidential counseling is available following the workshop by experienced SCORE counselors.

Wednesday - The Annapolis Wednesday Lunch Business Networking International, BNI, group will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West End Grill, 2049 West St., Parole. Networking begins at 11:15 a.m. BNI is a referral-based networking group where only one person from each profession is a member in any one chapter.

Thursday - The Annapolis Thursday Breakfast Business Networking International group meets from 7:30 to 9 a.m. each Thursday at Saucy Salamander, 2661 Riva Road. Thursday - The Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County will hold a membership open house from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Killarney House, 584 West Central Ave., Davidsonville.

There will be a short program about opportunities through Rotary, followed by a complimentary hot buffet breakfast. Seating is limited. The club currently has openings in many categories, including auto service/sales, banking, beauty salon, builder, chiropractor, computer repair, interior decorator, IT, mortgage lender, medical professional, moving and storage, office products, payroll, printer, veterinarian and Web design.

The panel discussion will focus on emerging technologies/trends; challenges such as security; and opportunities. Cost is $25 for members in advance, $35 for members at the door and $45 for nonmembers.
