More condos up on the auction blockAnnapolis - The 14 remaining units of the Harbour Light condominium development on the Eastern Shore are scheduled to go up for bid Nov. 14 at the Loews Annapolis Hotel. Part of a builder closeout sale, the auction is set for 11 a.m. The Harbour Light community, in Crisfield, Somerset County, has 92 units. Minimum bids start at $75,000 for three-bedroom, two-bath units. The original asking prices for those units reached as high as $570,000. Bidders are required to bring a certified check for $10,000. "This is a great opportunity for anyone who has dreamed of owning a home on the Delmarva Peninsula, but has been frozen out by the high cost of waterfront property," Max Spann Jr., the auctioneer, said in a release. Downtown store moves to ParoleParole - A baby clothing boutique that opened in downtown Annapolis this year is moving to Parole this week. Catharine Incaprera, owner of Baby Madison at 158 Main Street, said she's opening a new concept at the Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole. The new store, called "Madison," will combine high end baby clothes with trendy adult clothing. Incaprera said she will close Baby Madison on Main Street by Jan. 1. "Baby is a great store, but for Main Street it hasn't performed as well as I would love to have had," she said. "The parking, the rent, it all boils down to a lot of that." However, Incaprera said she will continue to operate Madison Boutique, a women's clothing store at 181 Main Street that carries trendy clothing with an average price tag of less than $50. Incaprera added that her landlord provided a rent reduction for the store. Local bank donates to new Light HouseAnnapolis - A county-based bank has donated $25,000 to the Light House homeless shelter to help fund its expansion in downtown Annapolis. Severn Savings Bank, which has four branches in Annapolis, Edgewater and Glen Burnie, made the donation last week. The new 24,000-square-foot shelter, expected to open next fall, will have the capability to host 70 people per night. Construction for the project began with a ground-breaking ceremony Sept. 21 at its Hudson Street location. Plans for a new shelter began about four years ago.
