PAROLE - Unnamed sources have leaked proprietary information that The Carlyle Group, a Washington, D.C., private equity firm, has hired another firm to find a buyer for ARINC, the Parole-based avionics defense firm that has been in Carlyle's portfolio since 2007, according to news services Bloomberg and Reuters.
The sale could reach $1 billion, according to the wire reports last week, which also said Goldman Sachs had been charged with finding suitable bidders.
