Penn National - 2010-05-14 10:44:43
Penn National has all those casinos in PA, West Virginia and a lot of other states. They even have a casino ready (just waiting to open the doors)with hiring in Perryville, Md. They are just waiting for the gaming commission to give their approval. They state the date is October 2010, if Penn National has their way with all their money it will happen.

I would love to see the Jockey Club shoot themselves in the foot with this one. They hijacked the democratic process in driving and bankrolling the so called petition drive to obstruct the Arundel Mills casino--pretending to support the denizens of AMILS in their struggle to live more distant from the wicked casino. But they care nothing for the residents of Laurel, for their environmental and logistical concerns against installing the largest casino in the state in what has become a quiet, largely residential area. They are about making money, and that is absolutely all. They don't even care about horseracing enough to acknowledge that a casino at Arundel Mills would benefit the horseracing industry in Maryland more than one at Laurel.

So much for the horse industry, breeders, trainers, Maryland tradition. The State owns the rights to the Preakness, but there's no mention. Gaming...using local residents to shift attention.
