ANNAPOLIS - The number of homes sold in Anne Arundel County continued to improve in June, rising 15 percent from a year ago and rising slightly over May, according to figures from the Metropolitan Regional Information Systems.

During the month, 556 homes sold after spending an average of 106 days on the market. A year ago, 483 homes sold during June after spending an average of 124 days under a for-sale sign. The median price also rose, climbing 4.8 percent countywide to reach $325,000. That's better than May, when the median price of $273,246 represented an 8.9 percent drop over the course of the year.
