Tim and Cathy Hickey shut the doors to Severna Park Photo last weekend, citing changes in the world of photography and the state of the economy.
"While we've remained optimistic over the last year or so that things would turn around the fact is they just haven't," Tim wrote in an e-mail to customers announcing the closing. "Cathy and I feel that now is the best time to pursue other opportunities to provide a living for our family and therefore we feel now is the time to close the business."

As one of the owners of Severna Park Photo I am surprised that me and my husband were not listed as the current owners. I was also surprised that an attempt was not made to get more of the facts before posting an article. All the information was taken from the store's website and an email to our customers. It is great to always know that the media likes to publish all the info!
