As the county's economic development director and a north county resident, I have a keen interest in the recent public debate regarding the 36-hole Compass Pointe Golf Course in Pasadena.
Like many local governments, the government of our region has made the availability of public golf courses a priority expenditure to enhance the quality of life. Business leaders choose to locate their businesses and jobs here because of our exceptional quality of life. Compass Pointe is part of that equation, providing social and recreational activity as well as an important business networking amenity.
