Parlett family reunion planned via e-mail

Cheryl Miller spent the weekend at a family reunion of four dozen Parlett cousins held at the Radisson Hotel in Parole. With one exception, the cheerful 59-year-old from Alton, Pa., hadn't met any of them before.

It was the same for the weekend's co-organizer, Sherrie Parlette Conrad Nelson, 63, who lives in Shreveport, La.

Joseph Parlett Jr. was more familiar with Annapolis than with his cousins, too. He spent his early childhood at a Parlett family home in Millersville and worked for many years as the executive director of the Teachers' Association of Anne Arundel County before retiring to Dover, Del.
