As director of the prosthetist and orthotist department for a local orthopedic and sports medicine business, Jon Yanke knows the challenges most of his patients incur following amputation surgery. Although not an amputee, he came to realize the issues are the much the same for each patient--a need for speciality products, lifestyle changes, physical therapy and psychological and physical burdens. Addressing those issues became the pinnacle for a life's mission. "All these people are asking questions, the same questions, over and over," Mr. Yanke said.
