When it comes to Nancy Almgren, music isn't necessarily the first thing that comes to mind - but maybe it should. She is the inspiration and driving beat behind the annual Battle of the High School Rock Bands. She's also helping to create a music industry in the area for budding young artists.
Using her contacts in the music and broadcast industry, she has brought together a select group of professionals for a one-time seminar in Annapolis for high school musicians. The all-day event on Oct. 29 at Annapolis High School will have those "in the know" mentoring to the young crowd.
