Woman lauded for forming cancer support group

For women just diagnosed with breast cancer, the immediate moments afterward can be terrifying. Stepping out from the treatment room, trying to understand what it means to have cancer, as well as digest the information doctors and nurses throw at you, can be incredibly overwhelming.

Denise O'Neill remembers what it was like when she received her diagnosis. It was the driving force behind her founding Survivors Offering Support in January 2004.
