While working for a youth camp last summer, 18-year-old Annapolis High School student Ruth Doherty noticed that children lacked the resources to help identify wild flowers. Everything was either too simple or too complicated, Miss Doherty said. To give kids the chance to enjoy identifying wildflowers as much as she did while growing up, she decided she would fill the a gap in children's nature literature.
