But she didn't have to do a lick of work as her family helped her celebrate her 100th birthday on Sept. 20. The party was held Sept. 23 at the home of a daughter, Florence Taylor.
A limousine brought "Mama Daisy" from her home on Clay Street where she resides with a grandson, Byron Wells, to the festivities on McKinley Street. Flowers, cake and ice cream and music were the order of the day, with no one wanting to go home until way after dark, said another daughter, Katherine Wells.
