On the top of his list was to learn Italian, the language of his grandfather, which he is now speaking fluently.
The second item was "do art." In the space of a couple years, he's launched himself a part-time career as an artist with a line of scenic note cards and prints for sale in local shops. Not surprisingly, his new business venture is called "Dan's Second Wind."
