Around Annapolis:Retirement community enjoys its 'Memory Lane'Published 11/12/06
Residents of the Gardens of Annapolis, a retirement community at 931 Edgewood Road, can stroll down "Memory Lane" thanks to a gallery of framed portraits of the residents. Carol Friend, who coordinates activities there, said that last spring a Men's Gallery was opened to honor the Gardens' veterans with their photos from World War II and the Korean War. It was so well-received that the women wanted a gallery, too. The Women's Gallery opened Oct. 20 with a catered lunch. The residents spend hours in both galleries, Mrs. Friend said.
