It was the last call for Riordan's, the legendary landmark saloon at 26 Market Space in City Dock.

Longtime waitress Joyce Bellistri gives one last hug to loyal patron Mary Clarke last night at Riordan's as Paul Clarke looks on. The Clarkes have come regularly for Sunday brunches and family milestones among their 11 children.
For three decades Riordan's has occupied a permanent spot in many residents' social calendars and in their hearts. It officially closed at 2 this morning, just as the beer taps ran out.
During the final celebration, the crowd at the old wooden bar was five and six revelers deep - some crying over their beers. World-renowned magician Wayne Allen of Riva has been a Riordan's patron for five years. He stepped outside with his two dates and sighed. "It's sad," he said. "The city is kinda forcing (owner) Mike Riordan to close....
