A fist-full of cash and a full day to shop with your girlfriends would be a dream come true for many women.

Slumber Parties distributor Connie Fanning and her son Chandler, 12, of Pasadena, received a fully-stocked refrigerator and pantry following a $16,000 shopping spree.
But for a group of Annapolis-area women, the shopping spree was all about granting the Christmas wishes of a local single mother struggling to get back on her feet.
Connie Fanning had come upon hard times. She had left a bad relationship. Her son Chandler, 12, had been in and out of Johns Hopkins Hospital, suffering from a rare form of epilepsy. Her truck had broken down. She was unsure how she was going to pay the rent on her Pasadena townhouse, let alone buy Christmas presents for Chandler and his brother, Kyler, 4. So...
